Ad run in support of Obama.
Thank you Robert Reich for this insightful post!
This is for those of you who consider yourself to be progressive but have given up on politics because it seems rotten to the core. You may prefer Obama to Romney but don’t think there’s a huge difference between the two, so you may not even vote.
Your cynicism is understandable. But cynicism is…

I just don’t get the conservative backlash against this Obama ad. Perhaps in another time—long, long, ago—the idea of using the young womens’ concerns as a motivator to get out the vote might have been taboo. Honestly, this woman is using a metaphor for a respectful and loving relationship. How is this less honorable than those who describe issues that concern women with terms like legitimate rape, describe rape as part of God’s plan, or call a woman advocating conraceptive health coverage a slut and prostitute demanding sex videos in payment?

This new Obama for America TV advertisment sounds calm and rational without mean spirited political attack except that Obama suggests Romney’s plan is the same reduce taxes for the wealthy and reduced regulations plan we’ve already experienced. How did that work for us?

Forward. (by BarackObamadotcom)
At the end of this Obama campaign video some of the major accomplishments since Obama took office are listed. It is so easy to forget these moments of greatness as we drown in the negativity associated with this election cycle.
Watch it!!!!
Interesting the way the press tries to kindly point out inaccuracies in the Republican speeches (The Week compiled a list of 15 euphemisms for “lying”).
Update: There’s more on The Week about Ryan’s lying: Why Paul Ryan Thought He Could Get Away With Lying: 6 Theories)
My opinion:
When the party continues to repeat those inaccuracies you need to consider that they intend to lie.
Here’s a cynical idea. Republican’s really are job creators. Consider how many fact checker positions have been created as result of just Ryan’s speech!

Watch it here…very funny, and sadly conservative misquoting and lying like this has been evidenced in the 2012 election much too often.

Must be part of the Tampa convention counter attack from the Democratic Party that also produced these constantly updating billboards near the Tampa convention hall:
